1. About these Terms
These Terms of Use govern your use of the VeltLend website and prelaunch services. VeltLend is developing a marketplace intended to connect people who want to rent useful assets with people who want to make assets available for rental.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must provide accurate information when using VeltLend. When account creation becomes available, VeltLend may require additional information or verification before enabling particular marketplace features.
3. Marketplace role
VeltLend is designed as a marketplace platform. When the marketplace launches, the specific role VeltLend plays in a rental transaction, including applicable fees, verification steps, payment flows, cancellation rules and dispute procedures, will be described in the applicable product terms.
4. Lenders and listings
Future lenders will be responsible for ensuring that listings are accurate, lawful and suitable for rental. Users must not list property, services or activities that are prohibited by law or by VeltLend rules.
5. Renters
Future renters will be responsible for reviewing listing information, following rental conditions and using rented property responsibly. Rental specific responsibilities will be presented before a transaction is confirmed.
6. Prohibited conduct
- Fraud, impersonation or providing deliberately false information.
- Using VeltLend for unlawful activities.
- Interfering with the security or operation of the service.
- Attempting to bypass verification, payment or marketplace safeguards.
- Harassing, threatening or abusing another user.
7. Intellectual property
VeltLend and its branding, interface, original content and software are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use the service only for its intended purpose and may not reproduce or exploit protected materials without permission.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the platform, our rights or legal compliance. Where the marketplace is live, transaction specific rules will govern the effect of suspension on active rentals.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms as VeltLend develops. Material changes will be handled in a manner appropriate to the change and the law that applies.
10. Consumer protection
VeltLend intends to operate with fair and transparent marketplace practices. Nigerian consumer protection is primarily governed by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018, administered by the FCCPC.
